Today was a different animal. Not only did we do a double closing (buying and selling) but we used a 1031 to help save money! To juggle all the ins/outs of a transaction like this and doing it effectively and smooth as possible isn’t an easy task but I am proud to say we crushed it and can say we are now CLOSED! 🎶 To kickstart fundraising efforts for the Rivers House Heritage and Adventure Center, the Green Cove Springs Preservation Society is launching a new community tradition , PorchFest at the Rivers House!

Throughout the coming months, we will invite choirs, bands, musicians, storytellers, and community groups to gather on the porch of the historic Rivers House for evenings filled with music, stories, fellowship, and community spirit.

Our very first PorchFest will feature the Southern rock band, Remedy, on July 10. 🎸

This is more than a concert series. It is part of our vision to bring the Rivers House to life as a place where history, culture, storytelling, music, and community come together beside the St. Johns River.

As we get closer to the event, we will share additional details about times, seating, food, and ways you can support the restoration and programming of the Rivers House Heritage and Adventure Center.
