HURRICANE IAN PREPARATION TIPS FOR YOUR PERSONAL PROPERTY:
1. Prepare for Wind: Remove or secure potted plants, trampolines, patio furniture, play sets and all other items in the yard or flower beds that may be blown into yours or your neighbors home.
2. Cut back any Tree Limbs that are close to your house or Roof.
3. Prepare for RAIN: Clean out your drains and gutters.
Have tarps on hand and ready in case damage occurs to your
Roof, Windows or Exterior Doors.
4. Check or replace the Battery in your Carbone Monoxide Detector.
5. Prepare or Buy Drinking Water and Bags of Ice.
6. Be ready to turn off Main Energy Sources.
Be sure to have a diagram of the floor plan of your home with measurements of each room. Take photos of the four corners of each room, including the ceilings. Take photos of the exterior of your home from every angle. Take photos of your lawn, fence, sheds, detached buildings, etc... Take photos of any trees on and around your property that may be leaning or appear to be dead.
