Dear Eagle Landing,
On July 23, 2010 I moved here with my wife at the time and our 4-year old daughter who was just about to start kindergarten. The plan was to come to this great neighborhood and grow as a family while raising her in the Oakleaf school system all the way through graduation. There were certainly a few hurdles along the way, most notably a divorce, but through it all, she made it to the finish line, even if her mom and I didn’t.
Now, as my almost 18-year old heads off to college in Tallahassee, the time has come for me to leave this still incredible neighborhood and head to the other side of town so I can be closer to work and other single guy activities. My last day in the house was yesterday. It was a pretty emotional day.
I wanted to publicly say THANK YOU to the entire community for the last 13 years. You gave us everything we could have asked for and more! And even though I’ve worked pretty much every single weekend for about the last ten years, I still managed to make some great friends along the way.
For those that still want to hang out with me, don’t hesitate to invite me back. I already miss this place.
Everyone, please be good to one another and keep Eagle Landing a wonderful place to raise a family.
