INSIDE LEE ORANGE | BROKER SPOTLIGHT | GREG DIAB
1. What inspired you to get into commercial real estate?
I’m ambitious by nature and was drawn to the opportunity to help companies, business owners, developers, and property owners achieve their real estate goals. I’ve always been a people person, and I love the art of negotiation and the economics behind each transaction. For me, there’s no better platform than commercial real estate to do what I’m passionate about.
2. What’s your proudest accomplishment so far?
One of my proudest moments was leading a deal that nearly fell apart. A client was facing significant financial pressure and needed to sell several buildings and their equipment quickly in a down market. When negotiations among attorneys started to wobble, I stepped in to negotiate directly with the real estate and equipment buyers while managing creditor pressure. In the end, my client was able to walk away with millions in profit—and I was proud that persistence and problem-solving changed the outcome.
3. What’s your approach to helping clients succeed in today’s market?
My approach is always built around a strategy tailored to each client’s goals and needs. The market is more complex than ever, and my job is to simplify the landscape and guide clients toward smart decisions. I stay on top of real-time data, comps, and trends so clients understand what’s realistic, and I work to keep them ahead of issues and timelines so nothing becomes a surprise.
4. What do you enjoy most about working at Lee & Associates?
I appreciate that Lee & Associates is recognized as one of the largest full-service commercial real estate companies in the country. Each office is owned and operated by the brokers, and as a Principal in the Orange office, I’m involved in decision-making and have opportunities to invest in new office ventures—something that makes Lee unique. That ownership mindset also helps me relate to clients, since I share many of the same responsibilities involved in running a successful business.
