If you’re a Scream fan, you already know this one. Spring Hill Estate in Tomales, CA, is where the chaos of the 1996 classic reached its blood-soaked finale. The party. The chase. The phone call. Every scream echoed through these walls.

Built in the early 90s, this Victorian-style mansion sits on nearly 300 acres of rolling Marin County hills. Inside you’ll find grand staircases, fir wood detailing, and cinematic views that made it the perfect setting for one of horror’s most iconic endings.

The current owner, Larry Peter, bought the property in 2014 for $2.82 million and has since opened it up for Scream tours, weddings, and even overnight stays for brave fans who want to relive the movie firsthand.

💀 Today, the estate is valued at just under $4 million — proof that in real estate, location might matter, but legacy is what really kills.

🕯️ Hidden in Logan Canyon sits one of Utah’s most infamous haunted places, The Nunnery. Originally built in the early 1900s as a private retreat, it was later given to the Catholic Church and became the center of chilling legends.

👶 Locals whisper that it housed nuns with dark secrets, and that unwanted babies met a tragic fate in the swimming pool. Some visitors still claim to hear cries echoing through the night.

👻 Ghost hunters report shadowy nuns drifting through the cabins, cold spots that appear and vanish, and strange lights in the trees.

🔫 The creep factor turned real in 1997 when a group of teens trespassing here were tied up at gunpoint by armed watchmen in the drained pool, an incident that made national headlines.

🌲 Abandoned for decades, its cabins and crumbling pool still lure thrill seekers every October.

💵 And here’s the twist: this haunted retreat has even been listed for sale, most recently around $700,000. Would you dare to own a slice of Utah ghost lore? 👀

Day 2: Hocus Pocus – Max & Dani’s House 🕯️🏡

One of the most iconic Halloween movie homes sits at 4 Ocean Ave in Salem, MA. 🎃
This saltbox-style home became famous in Hocus Pocus (1993) as Max & Dani’s house — the place where the Sanderson Sisters return after the Black Flame Candle is lit.

In real life, it’s a private waterfront residence overlooking Salem Harbor. It’s not open to the public, but every October fans line the street to snap photos. While Zillow shows it “off market” with an estimate around $660K, this Halloween landmark hasn’t actually been sold in years.

Would you live here if it ever hit the market? 👀

🎃🏡 31 Days of Halloween Homes kicks off today! 🏡🎃

We’re starting with the most infamous house in horror… Michael Myers’ childhood home from the original Halloween (1978). Built in 1888 in South Pasadena, this creepy Victorian sat abandoned until the film crew patched it up for those terrifying opening scenes. By the 80s it was headed for demolition, but it was saved for just one silver dollar and moved down the street. Today it’s a cheerful blue historic landmark that now houses offices (including a chiropractor’s clinic), proof that even the scariest homes can get a second life.

This is just the beginning. All October I’ll be sharing haunted, iconic, and Halloween worthy homes with a real estate twist. Stay tuned because you never know whose house will show up next. 👀🔪

I’ll be real with you—I’m not a huge fan of fractional ownership. Owning a tiny slice of a property isn’t the same as holding the keys yourself. BUT… whether I like it or not, this is becoming a trendy option for investors. For as little as $50, you can buy into real estate without saving up for a down payment or qualifying for a mortgage. It’s not a replacement for traditional investing, but it is a way for new investors to dip their toes in and start building confidence in real estate. Think of it as a stepping stone, not the finish line. 🏡💸

A lot of sellers assume that hosting an open house is the key to selling their home… but the truth is, they rarely result in an actual sale.

Here’s why: most people walking through an open house aren’t qualified buyers. Many are neighbors who are curious, people who are just browsing, or buyers who haven’t taken the first steps toward pre-approval. That means the odds of the right buyer walking in off the street and making an offer are very slim.

So who really benefits from an open house? The agent. Open houses are great opportunities for agents to meet new clients and generate leads. That’s not necessarily bad—it’s just important to be clear about the purpose.

Now, does that mean open houses are a waste of time? Not necessarily. They can still create buzz, give your home exposure, and help buyers get a sense of the space without the formality of a private showing. But when it comes down to it, serious and qualified buyers almost always schedule private showings through their agent.

The bottom line: if you’re a seller, don’t feel pressured into thinking an open house is the make-or-break strategy for selling your home. It can be a piece of the puzzle, but it’s rarely the piece that seals the deal.

This market isn’t set up to crash. Most homeowners are sitting on record equity. Even if someone hits a rough patch, they can sell before foreclosure—they may not cash out like they would have at the peak, but they won’t lose everything either. On top of that, people with big equity usually have way lower mortgage payments. Renting would actually cost them more, so they’re staying put and waiting out the storm instead of flooding the market with distressed sales.

Big shoutout to Eric Smart for crushing it on the loan and Bergundy Lowe for handling title like a pro 🙌

Right now is actually a great time to buy—inventory is at a 10-year high, which means more options and more negotiating power for buyers 👏 Don’t let interest rates scare you off—let’s find the right opportunity.
