It is with deep sadness that I share the sudden loss of our beloved team member, Miguel Perez Guzman. Miguel's dedication over the past seven years was invaluable to our team's success.
Miguel recently faced a sudden and aggressive battle with gastric cancer. Despite his strength and courage, he passed away peacefully Monday evening at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
I was fortunate to be by his bedside just a short time prior, reminding him how much his Paymun family loved and cared for him. Although he was fully unconscious and on breathing tubes, he responded with a slight change in his breathing and a tiny movement of his eyes.
I am beyond grateful that he left knowing I was present and will continue remaining present, especially as his family navigates through this difficult time to find their new path.
His story of immigration, and the hard work and sacrifices he made, reflect the experiences of many on our team.
I cannot express enough gratitude for what they bring to the table every single day with great attitude, honesty, kindness, and love.
From detection to passing, it was 18 difficult days. It feels like a bad dream we are all hoping to wake up from. Miguel was 46.
From the bottom of my heart, I pray he rests in peace.
All his services have been arranged and paid for. If you feel inclined to show your support to his family, below is a GoFundMe page organized by his friends from church.
Any contributions will be greatly appreciated by his family and our team.
