SHE KNOWS CHICAGO!
Labor Day weekend is here, Chicago, and before we officially say goodbye to summer, there’s still time to get out, explore, eat something delicious, listen to some great music, and make a few memories.
If you’re wondering what to do this weekend, here’s your Chicago Labor Day Weekend Bucket List:
1. 🎷 Chicago Jazz Festival | Sept. 3–6
Head to Millennium Park for one of Chicago’s signature music traditions. Enjoy incredible live jazz in the heart of downtown and take in the city while you’re there. Best of all, it’s free.
2. 🎺 Chicago Labor Day Parade & Eddie Fest | Saturday, Sept. 5
Spend part of your Saturday in Pullman celebrating Labor Day with the annual parade and Eddie Fest. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy live entertainment, community, food, and a little Chicago history.
3. 🦞 Great American Lobster Fest | Sept. 5–6
If your ideal holiday weekend includes good food, this one needs to be on your list. Head to Navy Pier for lobster, festival food, entertainment, and lakefront views. Come hungry!
4. 🎆 Summer Ends at Navy Pier | Saturday, Sept. 5
End the weekend with one of the best Chicago combinations: the lake, the skyline, and fireworks. Make an evening of it with dinner, a walk along the Pier, and a little time enjoying the city before the fireworks light up the sky.
And if none of those sound like your kind of weekend?
Grab brunch.
Take a walk by the lake.
Visit a neighborhood you haven’t explored.
Call some friends.
Put the phone down for a little while.
Because Labor Day weekend isn’t just about having Monday off.
It’s about making time for the people, places, and moments that make life feel good.
So Chicago, what’s YOUR plan?
Are you going to a festival, trying a new restaurant, spending the weekend with family, or simply enjoying some well-earned rest?

Happy Labor Day, Chicago!
