At just 37, Mica Gilles leads with purpose, faith, and an unwavering belief in what’s possible. As an author, speaker, co-owner of Gilles Deluxe Properties, and campus executive director at Sumter Senior Living, she pours her heart into serving her residents, her team, her sons, and her community—showing up every day with passion and excellence.

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and raised in the United States, Mica’s journey shaped her resilience, adaptability, and deep sense of calling. Her leadership is rooted in faith, progress over perfection, and a commitment to elevating others—especially women, minorities, and young leaders—to dream bigger and lead with confidence and integrity.

Whether she’s building purpose-driven businesses, mentoring future leaders, or blending her cultural roots into everything she creates, Mica is driven by a mission far greater than herself.

Mica Gilles has dedicated over a decade to the senior living industry, serving as Executive Director of Sumter Senior Living in The Villages. Since moving to Florida from New Jersey three and a half years ago, she has led the community to thrive with a 97% or higher occupancy rate and a team of 150 employees. “We serve over 330 residents, from independent living to memory care. I love seeing transformation, whether in people or in places,” Mica says.

Alongside her husband Nevito, Mica co-owns Gilles Deluxe Properties, where they buy, renovate and design homes for sale, long-term rental and Airbnb. “I love taking a home from unsellable to beautiful. It’s so rewarding,” she says. Balancing career, business and family, Mica believes success doesn’t mean sacrifice.

Through both ventures, she continues to serve her community, creating spaces where people feel at home.

“Whatever our hearts desire, we can make it happen.”
