Introducing The Velz Group Foundation Inc. Expanding Our Mission to Serve Seniors & Veterans

At Velz Group Development Company, our vision has always been to build with purpose creating communities that elevate quality of life through innovation, design, and human-centered development.

Today, we are proud to take a major step forward in that mission with the official launch of the Velz Group Foundation Inc, our new nonprofit arm dedicated to transforming the future of affordable senior and veteran housing.

Our Mission: Dignity, Stability & Hope for Every Individual

The Velz Group Foundation Inc will spearhead initiatives focused on:

• Affordable Senior Housing
Independent living communities designed with comfort, accessibility, and smart-connected features to support aging with dignity.

• Affordable Veteran Housing
Stable, supportive homes for the heroes who have served our nation complete with services that foster health, community, and long-term wellbeing.

• Supportive Services
A comprehensive human-centered framework including:

• Emergency shelter
• Food assistance
• Financial aid for initial housing costs
• Essential household items
• Pathways to long-term stability and
self-sufficiency

This expansion reflects our unwavering commitment to improving lives through thoughtful development while addressing some of the most urgent housing challenges in our communities.

Why This Matters

Seniors and veterans deserve more than just housing. They deserve safe, accessible, and supportive environments that empower them to thrive. Our foundation is built on the belief that communities are strongest when everyone has a place to call home.

City Commission Approves Master Development Agreement for New Downtown Convention Center

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, The Kissimmee City Commission has unanimously approved a master plan development agreement with Azure Hotel International, Inc., marking a transformative milestone for Downtown Kissimmee’s future.

The agreement paves the way for a $180 million + redevelopment of the Civic Center site into a luxury hotel and state-of-the-art convention center, bringing unprecedented economic and community benefits to the city.

On Monday, August 18, 2025, the commissioners of the City of Kissimmee approved a $180 million master development agreement with Velz Group Development Company and it’s business partner Azure Hotel International for the new 4.5 star downtown hotel and convention center. Today was truly a remarkable and historic day for the City of Kissimmee. We had the privilege of welcoming local business leaders from the construction industry who expressed genuine interest in contributing their services and being part of this transformative project.
