🔴 DAVENPORT RED FLAG: THE TRAFFIC

Let’s just say it: Davenport traffic is a real problem. 🚗

If you’ve seen my recent videos or the comments on TikTok, you already know this is one of the biggest concerns people have about living here—and honestly, I get it.

But here’s the part I think deserves a little more context:

🚧 Improvements are actively underway around the US-27/I-4 interchange.
🛣️ Additional capacity is being added.
🔄 Grandview Parkway is being studied as another connection across I-4.
📈 And the area continues to grow, which means infrastructure has to keep catching up.

Does that mean traffic is going to magically disappear? Absolutely not.

But if you’re considering buying in a growing area, I think you deserve to understand what you’re dealing with today AND what is being planned for tomorrow.

That’s the entire point of Davenport, Actually. 🌴

I’m going to show you the 🟢 green flags AND 🔴 red flags of living here—not because I want to convince you to move to Davenport, but because I want you to have enough information to decide whether Davenport is right for YOU.

I might be late for this trend but one things for sure and two things for certain.

Relocating isn’t something taken lightly.

But if you’re new here I’m Vienna Fernandez | Orlando & Central FL Realtor and I relocated to Davenport, FL from Poughkeepsie, NY.

All I’ve ever known was New York but we were outgrowing our house and the longer we spent there the more evident it became.

My husband and I bought the house
before we got married
before we had kids.
It was a completely different lifestyle.

We thought (just like so many others) that our first home would be our forever home- because let’s face it, moving is NOT fun. Especially not across state lines with 3 small kids.

But the more we spoke about it, Florida made sense.

The weather (we had a horrible last winter where we got the flu 2 times in 3 months and a hospitalization for my son BOTH TIMES)

My parents. They moved there after retirement and felt like this would be village we all need.

No State Income Tax so you see more of your check

So many schooling options that made it hard to say no.
