Big projects, like the Florida's Turnpike widening between Clay Whaley Road and US 192, can feel like they take forever, but here’s why it’s worth the time:

This project is:
• Raising the Mainline and adding two new lanes in each direction
• Building a brand-new interchange at Nolte Road and extending Nolte Road to improve community access
• Adding noise walls to reduce traffic noise
• Installing drainage and doing the foundation work that ensures quality for decades
• Keeping the Turnpike open to traffic while we build

This isn’t just widening the road; it’s building the backbone for County's continued growth. The project is scheduled for completion in 2030, and when it’s done, you’ll see safer, smoother, and more connected travel.
