I used to think being on every call, answering every question, and stepping in constantly made me a good leader….It didn’t.
It taught my team to look to me before they trusted themselves.
At some point, I had to realize that if I wanted them to grow, I had to give them room to make decisions, have the conversation, mess it up sometimes, and figure it out.
You can’t say you want a strong team while making yourself necessary for every single move they make.
Sometimes the best thing you can do for your people is get out of the way.
