"Don't let the smooth taste fool ya" was the old cigarette campaign slogan that we used to say in my hood when people tested us back in the day. Simone Biles and the USA Women's Gymnastics team summed it up recently as "F@$K AROUND AND FIND OUT."

You might be surprised, but no matter what level you reach in life, you will constantly be tested. And believe it or not, it's a good thing. It keeps us on our toes and gives us our edge.

Every successful person I have met—whether from the street, court, stage, boardroom, or wherever—has faced massive adversity. And with that success came enemies that they have learned to deal with in their own way. However, the ability to fight is also what they channeled to focus on success. And that's the edge that you never want to lose. 💪🏾

Either way, always remember that no matter how nice you are and how good your intentions are, there are some people who will come into your life just to test you. And when they leave you absolutely no other option… Enjoy showing them your teeth and exactly what got you here!
