Today is National Voter Registration Day!

We were honored to be on hand at the Orange County Supervisor of Elections for a special press conference marking National Voter Registration Day and emphasizing the importance of making sure every eligible voter is registered and ready to make their voice heard.

We joined Supervisors of Elections from across Central Florida, including Lisa Lewis, Volusia County Supervisor of Elections; Amy Pennock, Seminole County Supervisor of Elections; Karen Castor Dentel, Orange County Supervisor of Elections; Tim Bobanic, Brevard County Supervisor of Elections; and Mary Jane Arrington, Osceola County Supervisor of Elections.

As we look ahead to the November election, don’t forget to check your voter registration, make sure your information is up to date and encourage your family, friends and neighbors to do the same.

We’re thrilled to announce that we received a grant to expand our Entrepreneurship and Small Business Certification Program!

This grant will directly provide 50 entrepreneurs and small business owners with access to comprehensive business training, financial literacy education, mentorship, and networking opportunities to foster long-term business success and economic mobility.

Today, the Central Florida Urban League joins our community and our nation in marking 25 years since the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the first responders who ran toward danger, and recognize the families and communities whose lives were forever changed.

As Central Floridians, we remember not only the tragedy of that day, but also the extraordinary unity, compassion and service that followed. Twenty-five years later, may we continue to carry those values forward by standing together, serving our neighbors and strengthening our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last night for the District 7 Candidates Forum. Our President and CEO, Elizabeth R. Grace, was proud to host a lively and important discussion about the issues that matter to our community.

A big thank you to our very own Carl Battle for spending the day out in the community, connecting with our neighbors, sharing resources and encouraging everyone to get engaged.
