According to the Orlando Regional Realtor Association, property prices increased in 2020 and the median home price was 9.1% higher than the previous year.

Orlando is ranked as one of the best places to buy rental property in 2021, based on key investment criteria such as cash flow, affordable property prices, and a growing population and job market. To make the market even more attractive, Florida has no state income tax and plenty of warm weather.

According to AreaVibes, Orlando has an overall cost of living index score of 98, two percent lower than the national average and 1 percent lower than the Florida average. ... If a city's index score is higher than 100, then the cost of living is above average.

PRO'S AND CON OF BUYING NEW CONSTRUCTION.

My own experience buying new construction has been a positive one, with the cons not mattering much in comparison to the pros. To figure out if it’s the right choice for you, gather all the facts, do your research, and think clearly about what you want in a home, both now and in the future. Consider bringing an agent with you to meet with the builder’s sales person so that you have someone helping you advocate for your interests. The more you know going into the process, the better you’ll be able to navigate the sometimes tricky process of building a new construction home.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, there is still strong demand from homebuyers throughout the Orlando area.
