Gross! PLEASE DO NOT DUMP COOKING OILS AND GREASES DOWN YOUR KITCHEN SINKS!!! The oils and greases are being dumped down kitchen sinks by the residents of the City of Sanford.
This photo is from inside a City lift station which City staff must clean EVERY week due to the excessive amount of oils and greases being discharged into it. If staff did not clean the lift station, sewage would back up on the streets and in homes.
Instead, please collect them into sealed containers and take them to one of the City's used cooking oil recycling centers located at 300 E. Airport Blvd and 412 W. 14th Street. Please help prevent sewage overflows by doing your part! Please spread the word to your family, friends, and neighbors. Thank you for your help!
