A proud University of Tampa alumnus, he recently concluded his term as Chairman of the Board of Counselors, where he helped strengthen connections between alumni, the community, and the university while championing initiatives that will create a lasting impact.

Among the accomplishments he is most proud of is helping establish a new structure that enables the Board of Counselors to contribute $5,000 annually to its endowment. This commitment is expected to grow the endowment to approximately $150,000 by 2030, creating meaningful opportunities for future students and supporting the organization's long-term success.

Merritt is currently finishing his undergraduate work at The University of Florida studying Finance and entering their Master of Science program in Real Estate this fall. He was an active student involved with many extracurricular activities including The University Athletic Association (Gator Baseball), a member of The Real Estate Society and the house manager and philanthropy chair for his fraternity.
