Today, we honor Juneteenth — a day of freedom, reflection, and remembrance.
On June 19, 1865, news of emancipation finally reached enslaved people in Galveston, Texas — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth reminds us that freedom has always been worth celebrating, but also that progress often comes too slowly.
As a community, today is an opportunity to recognize Black history, celebrate resilience, and continue supporting equality, justice, and opportunity for all.
Wishing everyone a meaningful Juneteenth. ✊🏿
