This is a common issue in older manufactured homes — The oem sealant used to create a water tight seal becomes hard and brittle. Settling and movement can cause the sealant to break and lose the seal. This allows water to pe*****te the window and leak into the walls, causing the structure of the window to rot.

The easiest way to tell without removing any of the wall around the window is to push the wall near the window. If there is any give or flex to the wall more that likely you have damage within.
