Condominium Homeowners Fire Safety Tip.

Know where your dryer vent exhaust terminates. If it is not through the wall and is located at the roof be conscious of what level your unit is on.

Typically the exhaust pipe installed should be of smooth metal, no more than 35 feet vertically in length. Cleaning lint from dryer vent maintenance should be performed atleast once a year and a power ventillator may be required to assist with venting and greatly reduce the lint build up. Consult the manufacturers specifications and applicable codes for compliance.

This chimney is unstable and a overhead injury hazard. The mortar joints are required to be recessed and not flush with the face of the bricks to help avoid premature deterioration.

Water appears to be entering entering underneath the stucco siding. All materials tested dry but will require removal for an accurate damage evaluation. Help avoid this condition by providing a positive pitched slope, divert the sprinkler heads away from the structure, and properly installing splash shields to divert the water spray.
