📊 This Week's Mortgage Rate Update
According to Freddie Mac's latest survey:

30-year fixed: 6.30% (up from 6.26% last week)
15-year fixed: 5.49% (up from 5.41% last week)

What This Means:
Both rates saw modest increases this week—the 30-year rose 4 basis points while the 15-year jumped 8 basis points. This marks a pause in the multi-week decline we've been seeing. After several weeks of favorable movement that energized homebuyers, rates are taking a breather.
The small uptick reflects the current economic landscape—strong employment and solid economic data are keeping rates from falling further. But the good news? We're still well below the highs we saw earlier this year, and rates remain in a more favorable range compared to recent months.
Bottom Line: If you've been on the fence about buying or refinancing, this small bump is a reminder that favorable rate windows can be fleeting. The overall trend has been positive for buyers, but timing still matters.
