To keep children safe and drivers sane, a tunnel system will be construction to keep e-bikes and electric scooters off the roads.

🌊✨ BIG DEVELOPMENT UPDATE FOR HORIZON WEST! ✨🌊

The vision for Orlando Surf Park is still making waves — and new plans are officially in the works. Proposed as a 44-acre sports and lifestyle complex featuring a 15-acre surf lagoon, Orlando Surf Park aims to bring a world-class inland surfing experience right here to Horizon West. 🤙🔥

The concept includes:
🏖️ Beach volleyball
🌺 Cabanas & tiki-bar vibes
🍽️ A full restaurant
🛍️ Surf superstore + specialty shops
🎶 Live entertainment

But before construction can begin, several key items must be addressed. Orange County previously denied the initial proposal due to environmental, transportation, landscape, sidewalk, and fire-safety concerns. The county is now awaiting updated, improved plans from the developer.

What’s next?
🌊 The developer will revise the site plan
📄 County staff will re-evaluate the updates
🗳️ A new decision will follow once the resubmittal is complete

So while the surf park isn’t approved yet, momentum is still building — and many in the community are watching closely as plans evolve. Horizon West may still catch this wave… it just needs more time. 💙🌊
