You may have seen headlines about Florida possibly changing property taxes

🏡Here’s what that could actually mean.

A proposal called House Joint Resolution 203 (HJR 203) 📄 would reduce non-school property taxes on primary residences by increasing the homestead exemption over time.

If approved ✅
some homeowners could eventually pay little to no non-school property taxes.

This is not law yet ⚠️
It still requires Senate approval and a voter referendum in 2026.
