When I joked in this reel that I felt like I was "back in my recruiting days," I realized... it's actually true. 😊

Before real estate, I was:
🎓 A college admissions recruiter
🎓 A career counselor for undergraduate and graduate students
🎓 A corporate recruiter focused on college interns and early career talent and HQ

At first glance, those careers don't seem to have much in common with selling homes. But the more I think about it, the more I realize how much they shaped the Realtor I am today.

Yes, there were plenty of career fairs, easels, handouts, and bowls of candy. 🍬

But more importantly, every role centered on building relationships, earning trust, understanding people's goals, and helping them make one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

I also spent years studying hiring trends, economic conditions, and market shifts so I could give thoughtful guidance to both job seekers and employers.

Today, it's the same approach—just a different kind of life decision.

Instead of helping someone find the right career, I'm helping them find the right place to call home.

Funny how every chapter prepares you for the next. ⚓

Back on! A major housing bill is now law—and it's one of the most significant federal housing reforms we've seen in decades.

Here are a few of the headline provisions:
🏠 Restricts large institutional investors from purchasing single-family homes.

🔨 Aims to increase housing supply by reducing regulatory barriers, encouraging zoning reform, establishing pre-approved home designs, and streamlining environmental reviews.

💰 Creates a new Innovation Fund that will provide $200 million annually for five years to communities with a proven track record of increasing housing supply.

Will this solve the housing affordability crisis overnight? No. But many housing experts view it as an important step toward addressing the long-term shortage of homes across the country.
There are a lot of sources walking through what this new law includes. It contains more than 45 provisions, many of which are aimed at increasing the development of affordable housing by removing regulatory barriers and streamlining environmental reviews.

It's corn season and I LOVE great corn on the cob. 🌽✨

Last year I did a corn on the cob taste test. Corn from Hart Farm Nursery and Garden Center in Dennis Port and corn from Chatham Bars Inn Farm in Brewster. Both have crisp, juicy kernels that are perfectly sweet. Go to either of these fun places when on the Cape or if off Cape be sure to get some fresh, local corn where you are and enjoy the taste of summer! 🌽☀️
