Everything we see from economists says that 2026 is going to be stronger for the real estate market…as long as mortgage interest rates stay near 6%. And those rates are predicted to remain stable. This is good news for buyers because things will be stable and good news for sellers because properties should begin moving next year if they are priced right.

The prediction is that 2026 will be a busier year than 2025, and a dip in inventory may be part of that change. Less inventory may encourage buyers to move a little more quickly - which I'm sure would be a welcome change for sellers who have been waiting for the right buyer for months - 2+ months for homes and 4-5 months for condos.
