About: Meet Dayzuka, a breathtakingly beautiful 2-year-old German Shepherd who arrived at the shelter on May 6, 2026. While she is a true head-turner, Dayzuka is looking for a specific kind of home where she can be the center of her family's world. She was surrendered following a tragic incident involving another dog in her previous home; however, because the details of that event are unknown, we are prioritizing safety and success by requiring her to be the only pet in her new household for now.

In a shelter setting, Dayzuka has shown that she much prefers the company of humans over other canines, often choosing to stick close to her handler’s side or quietly minding her own business. Being the only dog will allow her to soak up all the love and "spoilage" she deserves without the stress of sharing her space. This doesn't necessarily mean she can never have a K-9 friend in the future, but for now, she needs a home committed to supervised, slow introductions down the road once she is settled.

If you are looking for a loyal, stunning companion who wants to be your one-and-only, Dayzuka is ready to start her next chapter with you.

Must visit PACC before the COB Friday May 15, 2026, deadline to meet with a counselor who will review notes and introduce you to the dog to ensure that it’s a good fit. Some dogs may also require an introduction to any dogs they may potentially live with.
