Looks like I'll be auditioning for the Bridgewood Church worship team in September. To get ready I've been printing music chord and lyrics to learn worship songs. Problem is, I don't have a music stand to position them while I play. So...I decided to make a music stand. Check out the video.

Closed on the Wolverine Lake Village house yesterday. It'll feel good putting the money I invested back into the bank to be used to reviver another home.

It's been quite a learning experience working on making a deal on a house with Fannie Mae. HUD doesn't do any repairs. Houses are sold as is, which make the deal very limiting since the HUD homes I've seen usually need significant repairs. The current one I'm making a deal on has a well that doesn't work (+$10,000) and the AC doesn't work (~$10,000). That's a ton of money for someone that can barely afford a $130,000 home!

Had a great July 4th with friends and family. Also helped an elderly woman with some repairs around her house in preparation for the sale.

Just finished looking at a potential investment house on 3+ acres. Built in 1936. The property is beautiful, with one side at the edge of a little river.
Too bad the house was in such bad shape. Someone had stolen all of the copper plumbing, plaster walls throughout and very crooked floors. This would have made great place to raise kids if the house could be refurbished cost effectively.
