Carla and Gary Hucke reached out to our team in hopes of selling their family lake house, not long after purchasing their soon to be full-time home! Having the opportunity to not only work with the Hucke's, but to create a lifelong relationship was a pleasure to say the least. From the start, I could tell that they were wonderful people. I was absolutely honored and thrilled to work with Brian and Pam on the sale of their Lake home that I sold to them and then a beautiful new construction home in Porto Cima. This has been a goal of theirs to one day to eventually have a full time home here at the Lake. When they gave me their parameters and goals, I was excited for the challenge. They love to entertain and have several pups that they needed to make sure had room to run and play. In the purchase of their new home, I noticed the lot next door was vacant. After promptly researching the property and initiating contact with the owners, I negotiated an agreement for them to sell the lot to my clients under my clients’ preferred terms. I was also able to help negotiate some finishing touches and give insights on dock builders, landscape finishes, and other possible upgrades. These clients have worked very hard and stayed discipline to make their goals a reality. Nothing makes me smile more than handing keys to not only amazing clients- but now good friends – to a “Dream Come True".

This closing was extra meaningful. We had the privilege of representing a wonderful couple from Illinois—fellow real estate pros who owned their own brokerage and spent decades serving their market. To earn their trust in selling their beloved Lake condo was an honor in itself.

Selling a 2nd tier, top floor condo without a boat slip in today’s market isn’t without its challenges, but these sellers believed in our process and marketing strategy from day one. And after being the first and only owners since the complex was built, they were ready to pass the keys on to someone new.

It’s always fun to “get back out there” with past clients who have become friends, and this sale was certainly that! These buyers had purchased a home from me a couple of years ago in The Villages, and fell in love with the location, view and neighborhood immediately. Unfortunately, like it goes…their family started growing and they realized they needed more room so we began the search for a larger home in the same amazing neighborhood (and…it HAD to have the same jaw-dropping view) that would fit their future needs for many years to come - and after a year or so of looking, we found the one!
