I stopped for flowers today before an appointment.
Yesterday, while talking with someone I was meeting for the first time, she shared that next week marks the first anniversary of losing her husband. Her voice broke, and that little piece of our conversation stayed with me.
So today, flowers felt more important than showing up with just my notebook and business cards.
Real estate brings you into people’s lives during all kinds of seasons. Sometimes exciting ones. Sometimes really hard ones. And sometimes the most important thing you can do has absolutely nothing to do with real estate.
Just a little reminder to listen when people tell you what they’re carrying. 💗

Unhinged things I do as a real estate agent: Part 1. 🏡💍🤣

When your clients casually mention that they want YOU to officiate their wedding...

So naturally, I went online and got ordained. 😂

And since today happens to be the groom-to-be's birthday, I figured showing up to dinner with my ordination certificate would make the perfect birthday surprise. 🎉

Apparently, selling houses wasn't enough. I'm marrying people now, too.

Casey and I actually started coming to this event before we even moved to the Lake, and it was always one we looked forward to!

There is so much good information packed into one event, especially if you own property here, are thinking about making the Lake home, or just want to better understand what’s happening in our community.

Now that we live here full-time, I appreciate it even more. It’s a great opportunity to learn, ask questions, and hear directly from people who really know the Lake.

Apparently word has gotten out that it’s Birthday Month. 😂🧁💕
I stopped by to visit with one of my listing clients today and somehow left with cupcakes for the whole office. Because apparently my clients are determined to make sure I celebrate properly. 🤣
Real estate has brought some truly wonderful people into my life, and moments like this are such a sweet reminder of that. I’m incredibly thankful for the clients who trust me with their homes, cheer me on, and apparently keep me well supplied with frosting. 💕
Feeling pretty darn lucky today. 🥹🧁
And yes... Birthday Month continues. 💗🎉

🚤 Things we've normalized at the Lake of the Ozarks. None of this seems particularly unusual until you try explaining it to someone who doesn't live here. 🤔 And yes, my camera roll is mostly boats I don't own. . . Especially after Shootout!
