St. Louis-based SkyView Partners and Tegethoff Development, along with Fred Ross, owner of Big Thunder Marine, have announced the formal approval of the development plan for the new Oasis at Lakeport family resort and entertainment district in Osage Beach.
Approval was granted at the Thursday, June 1, Osage Beach Board of Aldermen meeting. Construction is slated to begin immediately with plans to open in summer 2024. The vote was unanimous, and the board also gave first-round approval of a development agreement which outlines the specifics of the project. The development plan is the visionary portion of the project, while the agreement provides the “huts and bolts” aspects of the overall Oasis at Lakeport.
“With the development plan approved by the City of Osage Beach, we are extremely pleased to begin construction of Oasis at Lakeport, which will offer year-round attractions and entertainment for everyone at the lake to enjoy,” said Todd Schneider, co-managing partner of SkyView Partners. “SkyView Partners and Tegethoff Development are committed to keeping the Osage Beach community informed of our progress over the next year as Oasis grows to be the premiere tourist destination of the Midwest.”
Oasis at Lakeport is a new $350 million family resort and entertainment district to be developed along the Lakeport property acquired by Big Thunder Marine in 2021,at Highway 54 and Jeffries Road adjacent to the Grand Glaize Bridge. Construction plans include the creation of a year-round entertainment destination offering 25 acres of amusement rides and attractions, a Marriott Hotels property and 26,000-square-foot conference center, indoor waterpark, restaurants, 200 public boat slips and a 1,000-space parking garage. Amusement offerings will include roller coasters, thrill and family rides and a 200-foot-tall observation wheel.

The Lakeport Village project passed its first test with the Osage Beach Board of Aldermen when the board unanimously approved first reading of a Tax Increment Financing redevelopment plan Thursday night for the $350 million-plus entertainment complex.
Second and final reading is expected at the board’s June 1 meeting.
Lakeport Village, also known as The Oasis at Lakeport, would be located on about 24 acres of lakefront land at Highway 54 and Jeffries Road near the Grand Glaize Bridge.
Construction plans include:
•The Oasis, an amusement park
•A 1,000-space parking garage
•A 50,000-square foot waterpark with retractable roof for year-round use
•A 400-room Marriott Resort and Hotel and Conference Center

The driving surface of Bagnell Dam will be closed beginning tomorrow, May 2nd, for a routine surveying project conducted by Ameren on an annual basis.

Drivers are advised that this may impact their travel plans, but that Bagnell Dam Boulevard remains accessible from Missouri Route 242, Highway 54, and the Osage Beach Parkway.

The dam will reopen to traffic no later than May 4th.
