New construction is required by the state of Illinois to install a passive/ skeletal radon pipe. That pipe should accommodate the installation of an inline fan to activate the system should it be needed or desired. Imagine the ceilings completed, 12-16” of insulation in this tight eave within inches of an engineered truss. There is no clearance for a fan, or reasonable working space for a contractor.
