A lot of people are adding investments into their financial future, and real estate is an amazing investment. Property almost always appreciates over time, and it’s a physical asset, which is great for diversifying your portfolio. Here are the 4 kinds of real estate that you can invest in.

Residential: This is one of the most common types of investment properties, and it’s where a lot of people start. Residential is nice because you can start small and then work your way up. There’s also a lot of resources available for residential investors, so you can learn about the process pretty quickly

Commercial: Looking for more cash flow and less admin work? Then commercial real estate might be right for you. Because you’ll be working with companies who want a long-term space, you’ll have longer-term tenants.

Industrial: This isn’t a type of real estate investment that you hear too much about, but it can be lucrative. If you’ve invested a bit before and have connections to companies that need industrial space, this could be a great choice for you.

Retail: If you have a hunch that a neighborhood is going to become the hot spot in town soon, retail might be your huckleberry. You might need more managerial skills here, or you’ll want to work with an experienced property manager, but there’s a lot of money to be made in this space.

Welcome to the neighborhood!!! 🏠❤️🥳

🏠 Story time: Joshua and Suzanne reached out because they were looking for more space in their apartment. They have an ADORABLE 6 year old son named Archer as well!

They were both working from home during the pandemic so they realized they definitely needed more space to work and live! They were browsing through the internet and stumbled onto our Wildflower Meadows development in Otsego. We were still in the middle of the pandemic, plus it was right after the holidays so it was so nice that we were able to Zoom for our first meeting!

On the Zoom we were able to show them the development and walkthrough the home with them virtually. They felt like it was the perfect fit so we moved forward with the contract to make it official! They never saw the home physically, so they basically bought the home online.

We had already started digging on their home but didn't meet them in person until it was time to pick out their selections. No turning back at that point! Fast forward, the home was built and they moved into this beautiful new home. We couldn't be more thrilled for them!

❤️ Moral of the story: Yes you can sell a home to someone online, just like Amazon! One click and instant buy and instant build! Oh have the times changed!!

Is there anything better than warm summer nights spent watching shooting stars and roasting marshmallows over a fire pit right in your backyard?

A firepit is an amazing design element for any backyard. It can be used in practically any season and really brings people together. And it’s a fantastic backyard focal point that can make your outdoor space feel pulled together. Try out these tips for a beautiful backyard!

-Add a pop of personality to your firepit by adding colorful pillows to your outdoor furniture. And don’t forget the throw blankets.

-Give the area around the firepit some texture with all-weather accent side tables. Bonus: they’re perfect for s’mores supplies and a nice cold bevvy. I love these on-trend rattan pieces!

-Your fire pit is the star of the show, but some pretty outdoor string lights of oversized yard laterns can add to your backyard paradise’s ambience. Major cozy vibes.

-Your backyard probably already has some greenery, but make the area around your firepit feel intentional. Place all sizes of planters around your firepit space. Group them in different sections to add some color to your space.

Patience is a virtue…. Except in our current real estate market! Right now, our market is white hot and buying a home has become more competitive than ever. Because there are so many buyers on the market, homes are getting snatched up quicker than a chocolate donut on a table full of veggie trays.

This level of demand for homes means that waiting it out is NOT the name of the game. Instead, you’ll want to hit the pedal to the metal.

If you find a house you’re interested in, put an offer in as soon as humanly possible. In fact, our market is so competitive right now that homes are getting multiple offers within a day or two of listing. You’ll want to make sure your offer is a good one and that it gets to the seller before it’s too late.
