✨Basement Guestroom✨ I wasn’t sure how this room would turn out since it doesn’t have any windows but I’m pretty pleased with it! I didn’t realize til I looked back at the photos that we put the cedar bench in the room like it was before! 🥹😍I spy a cute little puppy named Chaney…can you find him 👀😍🤣

✨Dining Room✨ this room is MADE to entertain!! When we first came to look at the house we had no idea there was a HUGE window behind the china cabinet! It is amazing what some natural light, new light fixture, paint, and decorating! Also S/O for the beautiful antique buffet table! Also FBMP has been a HUGE money saver! I got all of our light fixtures and the dining room table and chairs from there and I’ve been so pleased how everything has come together!

Remember the bench?? It’s finally completed!! I was deciding between painting it either navy or this cream color! I think the choice I made was right! If I went with the navy there wouldn’t be any separation between the bench and the counter top! The color just makes this little corner light and stand out. 🏠🤩

The living room ✨some things old and some things new✨
This section of the living room has so much character 😍 my momma came to the rescue to make this space feel warm and cozy! The secretaries desk was owned by the Chaney’s. I am so thrilled with the choice of furniture my mom and I made. I knew I wanted furniture that made the tile around the fireplace 💥. I think these these chairs made that happen 😍 next in this room is a couch!! Hopefully will be here in the next 2 weeks!

The living room:Some old and some new
Here is the progress of the living room! Mama Cynthia come to the rescue and added some color to the book shelves! We bought the secretary’s desk at the house auction, I love where we chose to place it! The something new are these chairs 😍😍I love how they tie in the tile from the fireplace! Next, is the couch which will hopefully be here in a couple weeks!

This corner is called “Well, life isn’t perfect” I have quickly learned during this process that I have Type A personality but Type B quality of work lol. The most frustrating thing is I wish I had the knowledge to do things myself (because I’m impatient) but, I’m an advocate of “you learn by doing.” When I showed Brent I was pretty defeated that I couldn’t get it perfect and he said, “well life isn’t perfect” and him saying that just put me to ease. Keep scrolling it this post stresses you out. 🙌🏻🤍🤩
(Thank goodness for the picture frames that hides the 10 million holes I made 🤷‍♀️🤪)

STORYTIME:🍪Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪
The couple who used to lived in the house (George and Dorthy) the sweetest old couple, their favorite thing to make together were cookies. Their kids were so generous to give us her old recipe cards and she was famous for making chocolate chip cookies. They even gave me the sheet pan she used to make her cookies on!☺️🥺In honor of them, chocolate chip cookies were the first thing we made! I hope we carry on the tradition of making cookies for many more years to come! 🍪😋
