Original owners, and brothers, Charles & Eugene Suffron purchased the Bailey Glass Company in 1945 and changed the name to Suffron Brothers. When Charles left the company years after, the name became it’s current one. When Eugene’s son, Kenny Eugene, got out the Navy, he joined the business. In 1975, his son, Kenny Wayne, had planned to join the military, but was called to the family business when one of their workers died in a freak accident. Kenny Wayne’s daughter, and representing the 4th generation,
Amy, joined the business after her Grandma retired in 2013 as the office manager.

Daylight Donuts & Betty Birzer announce, Our Un-sung Hero, Nominated by Jessica & Jeremy Masuch for “going above & beyond to help those in need” is Richard Renfro (pictured), this week’s “unsung hero”! Richard owns E&J Lawn & Landscape, named after his grandsons, Ethan & Josh, who work with him and are the reasons he started the business. 6 years ago, Ethan & Josh wanted something to do after school and they thought lawn care would be a good business to do on their own, but with them so young, they convinced their grandad to join them! E&J does mowing, fertilizing, reseeding lawns, gutter & lawn cleanup and basically almost any kind of outdoor job like fence building. Give them a call to get a free estimate. Richard says they give a 10% discount to Veterans & Seniors, and he is VERY CONSCIENTIOUS to make sure the grass doesn’t get in the street “for the motorcycles”.
