There is something so special about feeling the energy in Kansas City right now. ⚽️💙
As World Cup visitors experience our city, we love hearing what they’re saying about KC — and it is such a great reminder of all the reasons we are proud to call this place home.
Visitors are loving our legendary Kansas City barbecue and local food scene, from Joe’s KC, Jack Stack, Q39, and Arthur Bryant’s to local vendors, empanadas, coffee, and Fan Fest food.
They are taking in the incredible FIFA Fan Festival atmosphere at the National WWI Museum and Memorial, with giant screens, live music, local food, big crowds, and a global watch-party feel with fans from all over the world.
They are noticing the friendliness and hospitality that Kansas City is known for — the welcoming, approachable, community-centered spirit that makes people feel at home here.
They are feeling the soccer energy throughout our neighborhoods, from the Plaza to the Crossroads to Power & Light, with jerseys, flags, watch parties, and fans bringing a local-meets-global excitement to the city.
And they are discovering the culture that makes KC so unique beyond soccer — jazz, museums, walkable districts, the National WWI Museum, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, the Nelson-Atkins Museum, and so many places that tell the story of who we are.
Kansas City is welcoming the world right now, and it is showing everyone what we already know: this is one of the very best places to live, work, gather, and grow.
Proud to be part of this incredible Kansas City community. ❤️
