🏡 August 2026 Greater Kansas City Market Update

The latest numbers are in, and the Kansas City housing market continues to give both buyers and sellers plenty to talk about.

📊 Here’s the August snapshot:
• 8,305 Active Listings — down 4.8%
• 3,036 Homes Under Contract — down 12.3%
• 3,319 Homes Sold — down 7.8%
• $403,174 Average Sale Price — up 4.0%
• 39 Average Days on Market

While fewer homes are going under contract and closing compared with last year, average sale prices remain higher—another reminder that real estate is local, and the numbers only tell part of the story.

Today, we remember.
On Patriot Day, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the heroes who responded with extraordinary courage, and the countless families and communities forever changed by that day.
