So am I still selling real estate? Yes. I am a licensed Kansas realtor since 2004. (For 17 years I had my Missouri license.) I mainly list homes now. As I retire in a few years, I'll likely be just selling real estate. For now, I wear many hats! Working full time provides a steady paycheck, today's housing market and potential clients, do not provide me a steady income since 2023. Some realtors are very popular and outgoing, into social clubs and activities, and have long term clients. Some of my past clients are great at referring business, some aren't. I'm at a point for the last couple of years, where the ups and downs of home sales are not reliable for me. A job provides the steady income which is desirable to me in this phase of my life. So, I can list your home, I may even sell you another home, but I'm not relying on real estate sales to pay the bills. And, it's refreshing not having to be in a popularity contest that so many realtors are competing in. I treasure those clients and friends who I've worked with in the past and who remain loyal to me to call me today after several years since our last deal, and I'm very thankful to those who choose me to represent them still today. I am knowledgeable and trustworthy so I remain licensed and active to sell! -Mary Ann
