Hoping everyone survived our days of being thrown into the freezer. A huge thank you to all that had to work in those subzero temperatures especially the farmers that had to take care of livestock that were calving at the time.

Wanted to make sure everyone knew this.

⚠️ Something else to be aware of when we have large amounts of snow.

If you have gas appliances, such as a gas water heater or furnace, your home has a fresh air intake and an exhaust. The intake brings fresh air into your house to supply your furnace. The exhaust pushes carbon monoxide out of your home. Make sure there is no snow covering these vents to avoid a buildup of carbon monoxide in your home. Ensure you have working CO monitors and that the batteries have been recently replaced.

👉🏼 Edited to add: sometimes the flue is attached to the heat exchanger on the furnace and the gases are vented out the flue, through the roof. Make sure you know how your house vents.

Maybe it's true that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Who knows. That being said... Robert has decided he is going to do chimney sweeping again. Enjoys being his own boss too much and misses talking with his customers. So here we go again!!!

With all this rain some of you may be experiencing a smell coming from your fireplace or woodstove. That is the nasty smell of damp creosote. Your chimney simply needs to be cleaned. Give us a call today!
