One question is the skill of a confident patient.

Not "how much does it cost."

Ask that, and every clinic in Turkey, Colombia, and Mexico will give you a smile and a number that sounds too good to be true.

Ask instead: "What happens if my bone graft doesn't heal the way you expect?"

Watch their face. The clinics chasing a quick deposit will dodge it, redirect, maybe laugh it off. The ones worth flying to will actually answer, because they've thought about it before you asked.

Glenn asked the wrong question at first too. Ended up sitting in a consultation room being walked toward an ATM for $4,400, with a 10% card fee sprung on him at the last second. He got up and left.

He's not a dentist. He's not a salesman. He's just someone who did the research most people don't get shown, and put it all down so the next person doesn't sit in that chair unprepared.

What's the one question you'd be too nervous to ask a clinic to their face?

I wrote this book sitting in an Istanbul apartment, eating blended soup because I literally couldn't chew. That's not a metaphor. That's the actual writing condition for about four months.

Nobody tells you that "teeth in a day" often means removable healing dentures for months while you wait on the permanent zirconia. Nobody tells you that a clinic might rush you to an ATM for $4,400 the same day you meet them, with a 10% card fee tucked in behind it. I found out the hard way, walked out of that consultation, and started writing down every question I wished I'd asked before I got on the plane.

That list turned into 42 questions, grouped into 6 areas: clinical plan, temporary teeth, pricing, travel, recovery, and follow-up. I'm not a dentist. I'm a 72-year-old former firefighter and builder who spent 12 implants and full-mouth extractions learning this the slow, expensive way so other people don't have to. The guide is $7, it comes with a free update once my final results are done, and it's built to be read before you trust anybody's WhatsApp pitch.

You were told getting implants abroad was simple.

"Just fly out... Get your teeth done in a day... Fly home and smile again."๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

Nobody mentions the part where "teeth in a day" actually means removable healing dentures. Plastic ones. That you'll wear for 3 to 6 months while your gums heal and the real bridge gets made back in the lab.

Nobody mentions asking what happens if the fit feels wrong on day 4, when you're still in the country. Or day 40, when you're not.

Nobody mentions that "all-inclusive" sometimes doesn't include the bone graft they discover you need once you're already in the chair, 2,000 miles from home, with a deposit already gone.

So you end up finding out the hard way. Alone, in a clinic waiting room, googling terms nobody explained beforehand.

That's exactly why we put together Before You Fly. It's a real patient's account of what actually happens between booking the flight and getting the permanent teeth, the good, the confusing, and the stuff clinics don't lead with.

Have a look before you send any deposit: https://gbriz1.mybeaverpage.com/q/quiz-dental

What's the one question you wish someone had answered before you booked anything?

09/16/2026

Nobody books dental implants abroad with zero questions and gets lucky.

Every single patient who walked off that plane happy did the boring part first. The spreadsheet of quotes. The awkward emails asking what "all-inclusive" actually includes. The list of questions that made the clinic's sales rep go quiet for a second too long.

You're not behind because you're still confused about zirconia vs. temporary dentures, or why one quote is $4,000 less than another for "the same" treatment. That confusion is the normal starting point. The only people who skip it are the ones who find out the hard way, after the deposit's gone and they're sitting in a foreign country with a treatment plan that doesn't match what they were promised.

We put together a 42-question framework you can send to any clinic before you wire a single dollar. If they hesitate to answer in writing, that's your answer right there.

Look.

The overseas dental world feels like a minefield right now.

We know exactly why.

Every week someone tells us the same thing... three "final" quotes from three different clinics, each one contradicting the last.

People trying to figure out if "all-inclusive" really means all-inclusive.
Or if there's a bill waiting for them in the recovery chair.

People who booked flights on a promise, then found the reality waiting for them in a foreign clinic looked nothing like the brochure.

So here's where we stand.

We're not a clinic.

We don't sell implants, and we don't get a commission if you book anywhere.

Our only job is this...

Give you the questions to ask before you pay a deposit.

The honest timeline of what those first 4 months actually look like โ€” removable healing dentures, soft food, real talk about chewing.

And a straight answer on what separates a clinic focused on your results from one focused on closing the sale.

You deserve to make this decision with clear eyes.

Not a countdown timer and a discount code pressuring you into it.

If you're anywhere in the research phase right now, drop a comment or send us a message.

We'll point you toward what to ask before you book anything.

Discipline beats motivation.

I'm just going to be honest about that.

Show up on the days you don't feel like it.

That's the whole game.

Not the 5am alarm everyone posts about...
Not the perfect morning routine...

Just doing the unglamorous work again tomorrow.
Even when yesterday didn't pay off yet.

Most people quit right before it compounds.

That's not a small thing to sit with.

What's one thing you almost gave up on that finally clicked?

09/14/2026

Before I flew to Istanbul for 12 implants, I had a folder full of "all-inclusive" quotes.

None of them were actually all-inclusive.

Credit card surcharges.
Cash premiums.
A coordinator pushing me toward an ATM for $4,400 before I'd even had a proper surgical evaluation.

I walked out of that consultation.

Here's what changed after that.

I stopped asking clinics to sell me and started asking them to answer.

I built a list of 42 questions... the kind that separate a coordinator chasing a deposit from one who actually wants you to heal right. Things like what "temporary teeth" really means (spoiler... it's usually a removable denture, not fixed teeth). Who answers the phone at 2am if something swells. What happens to the price once you're already in the chair.

That shift, from anxious patient to informed project manager of my own mouth, is what I wrote into "Before You Fly for New Teeth."

It's $7.

It's the real trip, start to finish, and it comes with the same 42 questions I now use to judge every clinic before trusting them with a deposit.

If you're weighing implants abroad and tired of guessing which quote is honest...

Take the quiz and see where you stand before you book anything.

Introducing GO BACK: what I wish I'd known before booking a single flight for dental work abroad.

Go back to the questions I should've asked before I ever paid a deposit.

Go back to the moment I realized the "cheapest" clinic wasn't cheap at all.

Go back and start where I actually should've started... before wasting money on the wrong plan.

No one tells you this stuff upfront.

Not the clinic sales reps.
Not the glossy before-and-after photos.
Not the "all-inclusive" packages that turn out to include almost nothing once you land.

I switched clinics mid-trip.

I lost luggage.

I found out the hard way what "extras" really means on a quote that looked too good to be true.

None of that had to happen.

And it doesn't have to happen to you either.

I wrote down everything. The real questions. The real costs. The stuff you need in writing before you book anything.

Not theory.

Just what actually happened, and what I'd do differently.

Go back before you go abroad: https://gbriz1.mybeaverpage.com/p/landing-page-dental

Anyone else been burned by a quote that "seemed fine" until you got there?

Tell me below... I read every comment.

Look, don't book that "all-inclusive" implant package until you've read this.

Every clinic quote for dental implants abroad looks amazing on the surface.

$8,900 for a full set, flights included, hotel included... "all-inclusive" they call it.

But here's what nobody tells you.

That quote and the one that's $3,000 more expensive can end up costing you the exact same amount, once you land.

I've seen it happen with clinics in Turkey, Colombia, and Mexico.

The cheap quote doesn't include the bone graft you didn't know you needed.
Doesn't include the CT scan.
Doesn't include the "premium" implant brand upgrade they push on you once you're already in the chair, jet-lagged, and can't exactly walk out.

The clinics that seem more expensive upfront are usually quoting the real total.

The ones that seem cheap are usually missing three or four line items they'll add once you've committed, paid your deposit, and booked non-refundable flights.

So how do you tell the difference before you fly?

You ask for the itemized breakdown in writing.

Bone grafts, sinus lifts, temporary teeth, follow-up visits... everything.

If a clinic won't give you that in writing before you pay a deposit, that's your answer.

I put together a full guide on exactly what to ask for, and what happened when I went through this myself, including the clinic switch I had to make after arriving.

It might save you a very expensive mistake: https://gbriz1.mybeaverpage.com/p/landing-page-dental

Anyone else been quoted wildly different prices for what's supposed to be the "same" package?

Drop your experience below.

09/11/2026

I don't know where you're at with this...

But I'd guess somewhere around 2am, googling "dental implants Turkey," with fourteen browser tabs open and more confused than when you started.

Yeah. Been there.

You get three quotes.
All "all-inclusive."
All different prices.

None of them tell you what happens if you need an extra procedure once you're already there.
None of them tell you whether that free hotel transfer is actually free.
None of them explain what "premium implant" even means next to the cheap one.

So you pick one.
And you hope.

Then you're on a plane at 55+, your life savings on the line, trusting a clinic you found through an Instagram ad.

I'm 72. Spent my career building custom homes, reading contracts for a living, and I still got blindsided by this whole process when I went through it myself.

So I wrote down every question I wished I'd asked... before I paid a single deposit.

If you're staring down one of these "package deals" right now, and something feels off but you can't quite name it, this might help: https://gbriz1.mybeaverpage.com/p/landing-page-dental

Might be exactly what someone else needs to see too.
