This was exciting to read, especially as someone who lives here and works in the Huntsville real estate market.
In a recent Fox Business article, Ryan Serhant, founder of SERHANT and star of Owning Manhattan, discussed the changing real estate landscape across the country and specifically named Huntsville, Alabama as a market worth watching.
One statement in particular caught my attention:
“Five years from now, everyone will wish they bought a home, or property, for investment, I’d say, in Huntsville, Alabama.”

Serhant discussed how investment is expanding beyond some of the country’s traditional major markets and into growing secondary markets, where factors like job growth, lower tax burdens and strong infrastructure are attracting both people and investment.
He specifically identified Huntsville, Central Ohio and Charlotte, North Carolina as three markets currently getting significant attention from investors.
Those of us who live here have watched the Huntsville area grow tremendously, but seeing our market singled out in a national conversation about the future of real estate is certainly exciting.
Of course, no one can predict exactly what the market will look like five years from now. Interest rates, inventory and affordability all matter. But real estate has always been about more than what is happening this month or even this year.
Sometimes it’s worth stepping back and looking at where a community is headed. And it’s exciting to see Huntsville being recognized as one to watch. 🚀
