Afternoon heat index values will top out from 100 to 105 degrees each day from Saturday through Tuesday.

Remember - Daviess County spray parks remain open through Labor Day.

Daily hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Horse Fork Creek Park, Yellow Creek Park, and Panther Creek Park.

Each site is free and fully accessible for children of all ages.

Horse Fork Creek Park is featured in the latest edition of Kentucky Living Magazine.

The park received recognition for the inclusive playground and splash pad, designed for children of all abilities to enjoy.

Daviess County received a $75,000 matching grant for the project through the Kentucky Department for Local Government - DLG. The contractor, Miracle Playgrounds of KY & TN, finished the installation in 2021.

The playground features a poured-in-place rubber surface, accessible ramps, a merry-go-round, swaying platform, and musical instruments, among other features.

Memorial Day weekend is the traditional opening date for the splash pad with the large dumping bucket.
