Well deserved! Congratulations Jimmy!

At last night's Board of Trustees meeting, we proudly recognized our November Citizen of the Month: Jimmy Johnson.

Many of you know Jimmy from his LOcal business, Graphic Takeover, and we were thrilled to celebrate his enthusiasm and ongoing volunteerism in our community. Through his involvement with the Lake Orion Sunrise Rotary Club and Orion Historical Society, Jimmy exemplifies dedication by always showing up, supporting others, and helping preserve the history that shapes Where Living is a Vacation.

Jimmy's selfless spirit, paired with his committed study, deep knowledge, and preservation of our community's history, keeps our past alive in meaningful ways that strengthen our present and inspire our future in Orion Township.

💛 Celebrating Our Amazing Volunteers! 💛

Last night, we had the joy of hosting our first-ever Volunteer Appreciation Event, and what a wonderful evening it was! We came together to celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy, and hearts to make our community stronger and brighter every day. We say it often that we could not do what we do without help from you!!

To all of our volunteers: your dedication does not go unnoticed. From check in to clean up and everything in between, you are the heart of our community, and we are endlessly grateful for everything you do.

We had the pleasure of honoring 2 volunteers that go above and beyond day in and day out. Scott Kree, our Design Committee Chair, won the Helping Hammer award for his countless hours, sweat, skill and heart he puts into all he does for the DDA. Holly Pifer won Volunteer of the Year for her continuous contributions to the DDA- from volunteer coordination to sitting on the board to participating in 3 committees to always saying yes with a smile. These two volunteers really have gone above and beyond for us this last year and we couldn't be more thankful.

Thank you all for making a difference, for showing up, and for inspiring us all. We can’t wait to celebrate with you again! 💛

We also want to thank Sick Pizza Company for donating pizza and Summer Sundaes for hosting our event. It was a beautiful evening celebrating our volunteers.
