One of my favorite things about living and working in Northern Oakland County is fall. 🍎🍂🍁 The trees, c***r mills, downtowns, football games, back roads and cooler weather are hard to beat. It’s one of those times of year that makes you remember why people love calling this area home.

Two very special homes, one closing day. 🤍

From a one-of-a-kind log home in Holly to a beautiful lakefront home in on Big Lake in Davisburg, these two couldn’t be more different — but both were such special properties to represent.

More than anything, I’m incredibly thankful for my sellers for trusting me with these sales. That trust means so much to me, especially when the road to closing isn’t always a straight one. We worked through the challenges, stayed the course, and ultimately got both of these homes to the closing table.

I put a lot of time and heart into both of these, and I’m so grateful for everyone involved on both sides. I was fortunate to work with diligent agents on both transactions who worked alongside me to make sure everything came together for everyone. The log home especially was months in the making, which made seeing it all come together that much more meaningful.

Two very different homes, two great groups of people, and two closings I’m really proud of.

🍂 Southeast Michigan Market Update 🏡📊

As we head toward the fall season, the Southeast Michigan housing market continues to show signs of balance. Inventory is up 15%, while average sale prices have increased 4% year over year.

Buyer activity remains strong, too. 63% of sales closed at or above asking price, while more than half of new pending sales went under contract within 10 days.

The takeaway: buyers have more options, but the best homes are still moving quickly. Whether you’re enjoying the last stretch of summer or starting to think ahead to fall, it’s a great time to know what’s happening in the market. 🍁

A home doesn’t have to be filled with the most expensive finishes to feel high-end. A lot of it comes down to the details: good lighting, cohesive flooring, larger trim, quality hardware, and finishes that all work together. Sometimes simplifying a space makes a bigger impact than adding more to it.
