Not too long ago, I was invited to become a Certified Financial Coach through Ramsey Solutions. I have been following Dave Ramsey for about a year now and as a Real Estate Agent, it allowed me to talk to a lot of people about their financial situations. Far too often I saw people who wanted to buy a home but they were in no financial shape to buy a house.

So when I was invited to become a Certified Ramsey Financial Coach, I knew it was the right thing to do. Knowing the challenges people face in today's financial climate, it is crucial to have someone coaching you along the way. Whether it's how to get out of debt, how to negotiate with creditors, or just help budgeting for life's unexpected emergencies, I can help. I want to give anyone who asks a free 30-minute consultation. It can be over Zoom, over the phone, or even in person.

I haven't really posted about my RCIA journey (Right of Christian Initiation of Adults) at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Parish but I wanted to share with everyone my experience for anyone out there who either has thought about it or doesn't know where to start.

My journey started in September of last year when I went to Sunday Mass at OLA, after what seemed like years of nagging from a certain someone (you know who you are!). I was so moved when I went that I reached out to the coordinator of the RCIA program. Even though they had already started the RCIA program but he welcomed me with open arms to join. These past 7 months have been a wonderful experience.

Now I didn't grow up attending church and my family wasn't at all religious. I had preconceived notions about church and throughout my life, I didn't really feel like there was a reason to go, nor did I have any desire to go. But I've already believed in God and believed that everything happens for a reason.

Throughout these past 7 months, I've met some amazing people and gotten to experience the RCIA journey with people who I now consider close friends. For those who don't know if RCIA is for them or don't know what it entails, each parish is different but if you have questions about it, feel free to message me and I'd be more than happy to discuss it in detail with you.

This Saturday at 7:30pm Easter Vigil. Luckily, my parish will be livestreaming it on their YouTube Channel so anyone can watch. If you've ever wondered what happens at Easter Vigil or what a Catholic Mass looks like, you can go to Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Parish where they'll have a link to their YouTube Channel.
