Typically, I don't promote myself or my business as much as I encourage my agents to because (1) I have my hands full being a broker and (2) I've never been really big on celebrating my achievements. But, as things continue to shift, it feels important to remind people that I'm a resource because I know there are people who need my help. I help people build wealth through real estate, especially those who don't think they can. I'm so excited about some of the things I've been working on to push these efforts forward but I also wanted to stop and acknowledge a recent milestone for me. Although I've supervised and trained my agents on luxury transactions and assisted them in making sales of $1M+, until recently, I had never made a sale of my own that was over $1M. I usually don't do a lot of business -- something they don't tell you about how your attention shifts when you're the owner of the brokerage, trying to promote your agents and their careers. But, my very first residential customer from 10 years ago is the epitome of the repeat business my brokerage is known for. This is how we build a portfolio. Her 6th transaction with me was a 4 unit building that sold for $1.15M with equity! I'm so proud of her and I've been sharing how much it means to me that she trusted me to help her work up to this point. Now, I'm realizing how proud I am of myself too. It's kind of a big deal.
So, if you need my help, let's talk. I am the Owner & Principal Broker of the Haven Firm, LLC. I am one of the youngest brokers in the country to own a multi-regional brokerage. In addition to being Black-owned, it's Black-operated. I am also a Fair Housing Consultant and a certified Real Estate Instructor, having taught and trained hundreds of agents in the DMV. I also founded a private real estate investment company for the purpose of building generational wealth in the Black community. I'm most proud that I bring an ethics background to my work. DEI is under attack and I've spent the last 11+ years strategizing how to help people who look like me overcome obstacles in the real estate industry. I'm here when you're ready.
