Last week I was driving home and passed a house about two blocks from me.

Everything they owned was sitting out on the curb in the rain.

I had no idea what the full situation was at the time, but man, it hit me hard. Seeing a family’s belongings outside like that is something you don’t forget.

After doing a little digging, I found out they had fallen behind on their home, the bank took it back, and it eventually sold at auction. The family was evicted and quite literally thrown to the curb.

And honestly, the hardest part for me was thinking:
