The Jackson House Apartments staff provide world class customer service centered around making our communities more than a great place to live by focusing on resident satisfaction and opportunity. In 1971, three labor organizations, the West Kentucky Building and Construction Trades Council, the West Kentucky Area Council AFL-CIO, and the Kentucky State AFL-CIO, formed a non-profit corporation for

the explicit purpose of building Jackson House, a residential facility designed for elderly and handicapped men and women. Three delegates from each of these sponsoring organizations formed the board of directors of the West Kentucky Senior Citizens Union Labor Housing Corporation. Federal funding was obtained through the Independent Living 236 Program, and on December 10, 1971, groundbreaking ceremonies were held. The dream of a high rise building to serve our senior citizens and handicapped became a reality when the first residents moved in on February 1, 1974. Jackson House lies on one city block bordered by 9th, 10th, Clark and Washington Streets. Sanders Retirement Center (formerly Jackson House II), a second facility opened in 1982 and owned and operated by the same sponsoring organizations. The Jackson House stands twenty stories and contains 238 apartments.

Notice of Modified Office Hours During the Holidays

Dear Residents,
We hope you’re enjoying the holiday season! To allow our team time to celebrate with their families, our office will be closed on the following dates:
December 24th (Christmas Eve)
December 25th (Christmas Day)
December 26th, 29th and 30th.
December 31st (New Years Eve)
January 1st (New Years Day)

During this time:
While our physical office will be closed, we remain committed to ensuring your needs are met.

- If needed, we will gladly schedule appointments to accommodate Move-ins, Move-outs, Lease Renewals during the holiday closures, please contact us in advance to make arrangements.

- Emergency Maintenance Services will still be available. Please call your properties emergency number if you experience any urgent issues.

- Rent Payments will continue to process as usual. Please ensure your payments are submitted on time to avoid any late fees.

- For non-urgent concerns or inquiries, please leave a email us at [email protected], and we will respond as soon as possible.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we balance the holiday season with our commitment to excellent service.
