Fall is a feeling, not a theme. 🍂 And for me, it’s all about warming things up.

I went shopping for a little fall inspiration, and what caught my attention wasn’t pumpkins or obvious fall décor. It was the COLOR + TEXTURE. 🤎

Warm earth tones. Soft browns. Muted greens. Purples. Creamy neutrals. Woven textures. Cozy bedding.

The best part? You don’t need to redo an entire room to make your home feel ready for the season. Swap a pillow, add a warmer throw, bring in a richer earth tone, change out a floral arrangement, or layer in a little more texture.

A few simple changes can shift the whole feel of a space. You’ve got this! 🍁

One of the easiest ways to bring fall into your home is with scent. 🍂 A good candle can instantly make a space feel warm and ready for the season.

A few of my fall favorites:

Nest • Pumpkin Chai
Voluspa • Spiced To***co
Yankee Candle • Apple Pumpkin
Illume • Autumn Sage
Huntington Home • Blood Orange Persimmon
Rose Jade Candle Co. • Spiced Pumpkin Bread

I recently added RoseJadeCandle Co. to the list. They’re a small-batch, family-owned candle company based in California, and their Spiced Pumpkin Bread is perfect for fall.

No big seasonal makeover needed. Sometimes all it takes is a great candle. You’ve got this! 🕯️🍁

Hello September… September always feels like a fresh start.

Not quite fall. Not quite ready to say goodbye to summer. But somehow, it feels like the perfect time to reset. Clear a counter. Restyle a table. Bring in something green. Move around a few things you already own. You don’t need a whole new room. Sometimes your home just needs a little refresh. 🌿

One space at a time.

Consider this your permission slip to stop trying to decorate the whole house by next Tuesday. 😂

Pick ONE spot. A blank wall, an awkward corner, the coffee table you keep staring at… and make that little space feel like you.

Then enjoy it! The best homes come together over time, one small win at a time. 🤍

What’s the one spot in your home you want to tackle next?

Someone recently asked me, “What do you never leave home without? What’s ALWAYS in your handbag?” 😂

You’re going to laugh, but here are my designer essentials:

1. Painter’s tape. I use it for everything. Mapping out shelf and furniture placement, marking areas that need to be patched, and yes, even keeping a client’s kids entertained in a pinch. 😂
2. Measuring tape. Because in this business, we measure EVERYTHING.
3. My mini travel level. Technically it’s a key ring, but don’t let the size fool you. This little thing gets used on the regular!

Not exactly your typical handbag essentials, but designer life calls for being prepared. And when it comes to tackling those little projects around the house, you’ve got this! 🏡🤍

Grandma’s china, an inherited side table, your parents’ old artwork, a vintage silver tray. These pieces don’t have to match your decorating style to have a place in your home.

The key is not designing around an heirloom, but layering it in so it feels intentional.

A few Simple & Savvy tips:

1. Pair something ornate or traditional with something clean and modern.
2. Use inherited china or crystal instead of keeping it tucked away.
3. Reframe old artwork or family photos to give them a fresh, current feel.
4. Give an antique piece a little breathing room instead of surrounding it with other antiques.

Sometimes, one meaningful piece is all it takes to give a brand-new room a sense of history, personality, and a story that’s uniquely yours.

Mixing old with new doesn’t have to feel complicated. You’ve got this! 🤍

Project update 🤍 Site visits, furniture deliveries and all the little details starting to come together!

The latest addition? That chair rail. Such a simple detail, but it completely elevated the hallway. And seeing furniture start to arrive makes it all feel very real. 🙌

There’s still work to do, but this is the fun part… watching the vision come to life one detail at a time.

Thinking about tackling a project of your own? You’ve got this! 🤍

Getting back to school means getting the house back in order too. ✨

My best organizing trick? Decluttering when no one else is home. 😂

No one asking why I’m getting rid of something they haven’t touched in two years. No one pulling things back out of the donation pile. Just me, a trash bag, a donation bin, and a little peace and quiet.

Less stuff = easier routines, calmer mornings, and a home that feels more manageable.

Start small. One drawer, one closet, one space at a time. You’ve got this! 🤍
