Will Florida’s property tax proposal create the next buyer rush? 👀

I was recently quoted in Realtor.com, alongside several other Florida real estate agents, on one of the biggest conversations of the year: Governor DeSantis’ push to reduce property taxes in Florida and the upcoming vote.

There’s certainly been plenty of talk—but has it created a buyer rush? Not quite.

Palm Beach County continues to see an increasing number of buyers relocating to the area this summer, but not solely in hopes that property tax relief becomes a reality.

For now, the consensus seems to be “wait and see.” But as one agent noted, if the proposal does pass, we could see buyers scrambling to purchase before year-end to potentially take advantage of the changes.

Could this be the calm before the next Florida real estate rush?

Last week, I had the privilege of speaking at Inman Connect on a panel titled, “The Value Conversation Has Changed. Are You Ready?”

It’s been an incredible journey to get to a place where people ask you to share your story and your perspective, I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity!

We discussed how the role of a real estate advisor continues to evolve and why earning a client’s trust today requires so much more than simply opening doors. It’s about listening first, thinking strategically, collaborating with others, and showing up with real value long before a contract is ever signed.
