What's Happening in June, here in the City of Stuart?! Our June Happening's flyer lets you know!

And, June is also filled with all sorts of celebrations. June is like the ultimate party month, and here's why!

▪ First off, it's named after Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage, love, and childbirth. So, it's no surprise that June is the top pick for weddings in the US. Love is in the air!

▪ For those in the Northern Hemisphere, June kicks off summer with the longest day of the year, while down south, it signals winter with the shortest day. Talk about a global dance of the seasons!

▪ On June 6th, we honor D-Day, a pivotal World War II event. In 1944, Allied forces stormed Normandy, France, turning the tide against N**i Germany. A day of bravery and heroism!

▪ June 8th is World Oceans Day, a perfect time to dive into the wonders of our oceans and think about how we can keep them pristine and vibrant. Splash around and show some love for marine life!

▪ National Flag Day hits on June 14th in the US. It's a moment to salute the Stars and Stripes, celebrating the country's rich history and values. Wave those flags high!

▪ The summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere around June 20th or 21st means sun, sun, and more sun—the longest day of the year! Get out there and soak up those rays.

▪ June's birthstones are all about the bling. Pearls, with their pure, iridescent beauty, and Alexandrite, which magically changes colors from green to red, make for some dazzling jewelry.

▪ Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June. It's the perfect occasion to shower dads and father figures with love, appreciation, and maybe a cool gift or two.

▪ Juneteenth on June 19th marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the US. It's a powerful celebration of freedom and a reminder of resilience and hope.

▪ Skywatchers, get ready! The Geminid meteor shower lights up the sky in mid-June, offering a spectacular show of shooting stars originating from the constellation Gemini. Make a wish!

June wraps it all up with sunshine, celebrations, and a sprinkle of magic. From the arrival of summer to amazing events and natural phenomena, it's a month bursting with excitement. Embrace the spirit of June, enjoy its many delights, and let the joy of this vibrant month fill your heart!

Wishing you a wonderful month!

Goodbye February and "hello" March!

Ah, March, the month that in colder climates bridges the gap between winter's frosty grip and the welcoming warmth of spring! Did you know that it's named after Mars, the Roman god of war? Quite fitting, considering its historical ties to military campaigns resuming after the winter hiatus. Back in the day, March was like the starting bell for soldiers to get back into action!

And speaking of action, March brings us the spring equinox on March 19th, marking the official transition to sunnier days and blooming flowers. But before we get there, don't forget to "spring forward" on March 10th for daylight savings time, giving us that extra hour of sunlight to enjoy.

Now, let's not overlook the festive side of March! On March 17th, St. Patrick's Day paints the town green as people around the world celebrate Irish culture and heritage. And let's not forget Easter, hopping in at the end of the month on March 31st, bringing joy, chocolate eggs, and bunny sightings!

If you're lucky enough to be born in March, you're associated with the captivating aquamarine and the mysterious bloodstone, both symbolizing courage and resilience. And let's not forget your birth flower, the cheerful daffodil, heralding the arrival of spring with its vibrant blooms.

So, whether you're gearing up for spring adventures, rooting for your favorite basketball team in March Madness, or simply enjoying the changing seasons, March is packed with history, festivities, and the promise of new beginnings!

Lots of happenings in March here in the City of Stuart! Enjoy!
